The water around Mauritius supports a healthy population of blue and black marlin. Shoals of yellowfin tuna (65 - 90 kg) move into Mauritian waters in March and April while wahoo, said to be the fastest swimming fish in the sea, are prominent in September. Other challenges for anglers are the spectacular sailfish (around 45 kg), which flies through the air when hooked in an acrobatic display of anger; bonito, a small species of tuna; and blue, hammerhead, mako, tiger and black and white fin shark. Boats come equipped with a radio and trolling equipment for live bait and artificial lures. Large fleets can be found at Le Morne Anglers Club in Black River (South West) at 5 minutes drive from the villa. The Villa Manager will be pleased to organise your big game fishing experience.

Almost as nice as the Maldives's, that's the general opinion among divers. Understandable, it is in fact great to dive in waters warmer than 30ºC, choosing among a huge variety of diving-sites and having the great opportunity to meet here and there a hungry shark, the Mauritian clown fishes among the anemone gardens and lots of other types of marine species. PADI/CMAS Diving centres are to be found at 20 minutes from the villa in Flic en Flac and Le Morne where there are interesting diving spots.

Whether you are looking for a memorable day cruising along the south-west coast watching the dolphins, snorkelling in the lagoon and spending the day at Ilot Bénitiers or cruising along the east-southeast coast to Ile-aux-Cerfs, even a romantic sunset cruise, the Villa Manager will recommend the best options according to your needs.

At 15 minutes drive from the villa you have 2 golf courses : Le Paradis Golf course spreads out on 5,899 m between the magnificent Le Morne mountain and one of the island's most beautiful lagoons.
